Every EOS Implementer Is Qualified. Fit Is What You Are Actually Choosing.

By Lisa González, Certified EOS Implementer® and co-author of Process! (The EOS Mastery Series).
Every EOS Implementer® has been through the same training and holds to the same standard. So when you decide to pick one, you are not sorting the qualified from the unqualified. You are looking for fit. You are looking for the person your leadership team will tell the truth to when the conversation gets hard.
That is a different question than most people think they are asking.
The bar is already met
Every Implementer in the EOS Worldwide directory has been trained on the same tools, teaches the same system, and works on a satisfaction guarantee. You pay for a session only if you got value from it.
That means credentials are a filter, not a decision. Verify the person is in the directory. Then stop evaluating them on qualification and start evaluating them on fit.
I say this as someone who trains other Implementers. I have watched hundreds of them facilitate. The good ones are not good because they know more of the system than the next person. They are good because of how they hold a room. How they ask questions. How they listen.
What your team should actually be deciding on
Your leadership team is going to spend full days with this person. Someone in that room is going to hear that they are in the wrong seat. Someone is going to hear that they are the bottleneck. Those conversations only land when the room trusts the person delivering them.
So bring your whole leadership team to an introductory EOS meeting and watch what happens.
Does your quietest leader speak up? Does your strongest personality respect them? Does the Implementer listen more than they talk? Do they handle disagreement without making it personal?
Ask your team afterward. Not "did you like them," which gets you a polite yes. Ask: would this person help us engage in healthy conflict? That answer tells you what you need.
Authenticity is the signal
You cannot fake a room. Leadership teams sense inauthenticity almost immediately, and once they sense it, they stop being honest. An Implementer who is performing gets superficial answers, and superficial answers produce superficial EOS® results.
The many fantastic Implementers who do this well are just themselves in the room. Direct if they are direct. Warm if they are warm. That is not a style preference. It is what makes the hard conversations survivable.
I tell people to notice how an Implementer talks about themselves. If the story sounds smoothed over, ask a follow-up. Ask what they built and what broke. Ask what they got wrong. The answer will tell you whether you are talking to a person or a pitch.
We send business to each other on purpose
Here is the part that surprises people.
If we get on a call and I am not your fit, I will tell you, and I will point you toward someone who is. That is not me being polite. It is how this community works.
Implementers support each other. We refer to each other. We train each other. We sit in the same rooms and compare notes on what is working. Yes, a referral costs me a client, but it's not about me (really!). Instead, a referral to another Implementer protects your business, and every Implementer I know makes that trade without blinking, because a bad fit fails slowly and expensively for the company that lives with it.
Use the Introductory 90-minute meeting as the interview
Every Implementer offers a free 90-minute meeting to introduce EOS® to your leadership team. Treat it as a working interview.
Bring the full team. Watch the room. Notice who leans in and who checks out. Notice whether the Implementer follows the room or runs it.
If the fit is not right, do another 90-minute meeting with someone else. The right answer is worth an extra meeting. You are choosing someone who will be in your business for years.
For the specific criteria to run that meeting against, see how to choose an EOS Implementer.
The short version
Every Implementer can teach you the tools. Pick the one your team will be honest and raw with.
If you want to find out whether that is me, book a call. If it turns out it is not, I will tell you, and I will recommend who to call next.
